Asian Pear

Asian Pear trees are a unique addition to the garden. Producing a distinctive pear, often seen in shops, and resemble apples in appearance. A crisp white flesh, with a mild sweet flavour. Excellent as a dessert or salad fruit. They can be stored in the fridge for some time! Crops of fruit are ready for harvest in September.

Asian pear trees are strong growing, with attractively tinted foliage. Due to their early flowering, they are most productive when grown with the protection of a wall. The varieties we grow are self fertile.

Some varieties have very attractive leaves with bronze, tinted growth in the autumn. Hawthorn scented blossom in spring.
