Shepherds Bullace Damson

Description: Shephards Bullace is a traditional English variety. Produces a heavy crop of large yellow bullace, round to oblong fruits. Golden yellow flesh, often a little astringent and not very sweet, sharp in flavour. The fruits are best left on the tree for as long as possible. Good for cooking into pies, puddings and gin!

History: Exact origins are unknown but it was very popular in Kent and Essex.
