Cercidiphyllum japonicum Glowball (‘Jww4’) Katsura

Description: Cercidiphyllym japonicum Glowball is initially a slow growing variety with compact habit. Eventually grows into a round small tree with heart-shaped green leaves turning beautiful shades of golden-yellow and orange in autumn. The leaves also give off classic burnt sugar scent.

Cercidiphyllum Growing Tips: Moist but well drained, acidic soils. Will tolerate some lime but will grow better and produce more vivid autumn colour in acid soil. Very hardy but vulnerable to late spring frosts as a young plant. Grows best in an area sheltered from strong winds.
