Description: Cladrastis kentuckea, also known as Yellowwood is a handsome low branching tree with a wide, round crown. Large bright, light green leaves appear in the spring which can be up to 30cm long! Later turning clear yellow in the autumn. Pendent panicles of fragrant, wisteria-like white flowers are borne in late spring and early summer.

Cladrastis Growing Tips: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun sheltered from cold winds as the wood is very brittle.
