Cladrastis kentuckea Yellowwood

Description: Cladrastis kentuckea, also known as Yellowwood is a handsome low branching tree with a wide, round crown. Large bright, light green leaves appear in the spring which can be up to 30cm long! Later turning clear yellow in the autumn. Pendent panicles of fragrant, wisteria like white flowers are borne in late spring and early summer.

Cladrastis Growing Tips: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun sheltered from cold winds as the wood is very brittle.
