Description: A beautiful tree renowned for its bright golden pinnate leaves throughout the summer. Young twigs are bright brown and have striking wine-red thorns that later turn brown. Pendent clusters of small fragrant pea-like white flowers in mid-summer.

History: Raised at the nursery of W. Jansen in the Netherlands in 1935.

Robinia Growing Tips: Grows in moderately fertile, will tolerate poor dry soils. Position in full sun or dappled shade, sheltered from cold winds.
