Description: An elegant deciduous conifer with gracefully arching, weeping branches covered with red shaggy bark on the trunk, and fine grass-green leaves which turn bronze in autumn before falling.

History: Discovered by Graeme Platt, New Zealand.

Taxodium Growing Tips: Prefers to have access to good sources of moisture in the soil and will tolerate water logged soil well.  Requires plenty of water in the first 2 years after planting to ensure that it will thrive. 

Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 2m
