A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Swamp or Yew Cypress
Striking bronze yellow colours. Small green cones turning brown when ripe. Height after 10yrs over 6m.
Elegant wide spreading weeping form, red shaggy bark. Fine green leaves turn bronze in autumn. Height - 3m.
A very slow-growing, slender column. Would look well in rock gardens and around other dwarf conifers and heathers.
A narrow pyramidal cultivar with a strong central leader. Soft green foliage turns an attractive, reddish tan in autumn.
A slow growing columnar tree with short spreading or ascending branches. Needle like, soft green leaves.
