Plum (Prunus) Heron

Description: Heron is a traditional, very good quality dessert variety that produces medium-large, blue mottled purple fruits. Flesh is yellow, firm and juicy. The tree itself is upright in habit so perfect for the small garden. White flowers appear late in the spring. Traditional to the Vale of Evesham.

History: Introduced by Rivers of Sawbridge in Hertfordshire in 1875.
