Salix alba 'Golden Ness'


Description: A vigorous, deciduous tree with burnished gold branches in winter. Narrowly lance-shaped, mid-green leaves, and insignificant yellow catkins bloom in spring.

History: Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Salix Growing Tips: Suitable for damp places especially. Position to highlight winter sun on stems. Hard pruning in early spring is recommended of those grown for their winter stem colour.
