Small Leaved Lime
Description: A medium-sized deciduous tree with a spreading or rounded crown, and heart shaped leathery leaves, glossy green above and paler underneath. Small, fragrant creamy-white flowers are borne in spreading clusters in summer. Less prone to aphid honeydew than most species.
History: Native to Europe and the UK.
Tilia Growing Tips: Grows readily on light or heavy soils and will put up with temporarily soaking ground. Avoid growing in very dry conditions or exposure to very strong winds.
