Description: Arthur Turner is a mid-season Buckinghamshire cooking apple which has large yellow-green fruit. A firm baker, makes a well-flavoured golden puree, needing hardly any sugar. A good candidate for early pies as it can be picked green for early use. Known for its exceptionally attractive light pink blossom in the spring. A great garden variety!
History: Raised and introduced by Charles Turner at Slough, Buck, England in 1915. Previously named as Turner's Prolific in 1912 when it recieved an RHS Award of Merit.
