Acer davidii ‘Madeline Spitta’ Maple

Description: Acer davidii 'Madeline Spitta' is an upright growing form of Snake-bark Maple. It's erect branches bear glossy green leaves that assume lovely orange autumn colours before they fall. The green and white striped bark completes the effect. A slow growing tree.

History: Raised at Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey.

Acer Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
