Syringa vulgaris 'Primrose'
Description: A bushy deciduous tree with heart-shaped leaves and small panicles of fragrant, single pale primrose yellow blooms. These blooms, which are carried in large, rounded trusses, intensify as the plant matures, giving a more dramatic show of richer flowers each year.
History: Originated as a sport in the Netherlands. In cultivation since 1949. Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Syringa Growing Tips: Easy to grow in most well-drained, fertile, humus-rich alkaline to neutral soils. Thrives in chalky ground and appreciates mulching when planted in full sun
