Description: Captivator is a reliable bush gooseberry that produces large burgandy berries of excellent quality. Sweet in taste, delicious when eaten fresh, few thorns. A healthy tree being mildew resistant. Shallow lobed leaves that are green and turn dark red in the autumn. An ideal replacement for Pax.

History: Originated from Canada.

Gooseberry Growing Tips: A very easy fruit to grow. Thrive in many different types of soil, avoiding water logged areas. They are happiest planted in a sunny spot either training against a wall or in containers to take up less space in small gardens. If you would like to eat/cook the berries then make sure you protect them from the birds!
