Parentage: Williams Bon Chretien x Josephine de Malines
Description: Gorham is a popular variety of good quality and reliable fruiting. Pale green fruits turning pale yellow with slight brown russet patches. Cream, fine and juicy flesh with a sweet musky flavour. The tree itself grows upright and spurs form readily. An excellent pollinator for other varieties as its self fertile.
History: Raised in New York, USA in 1910 by Richard Wellington at the Agricultural Experimental Station. Introduced to the UK in 1923. Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
