Description: Packham's Triumph is a good quality and reliable pear. Medium fruit prone to being small, when it can frequently crop very heavily. Bright green changing to pale yellow with occasional russet and has an unusual bumpy appearance. Pale yellow flesh is juicy, fine with a musky flavour. The tree itself is compact in habit so is perfect for a small garden space. Grown on a large commercial scale in Australia.
History: Raised by Charles Henry Packham at Molong, New South Wales, Australia during the 19th Century.
