Description: Humbug, also known as Pysanka is a highly unusual green, yellow and pink striped pear which offers something very special for the garden. It has a sweet and juicy texture despite its rather thick skin. The tree is healthy and even the young shoots appear stripey in winter. In its native country it is known as the ‘Easter Pear’ as it is traditionally stored throughout the winter and paraded as a table decoration before eating at Easter time to celebrate the onset of spring.
