Description: Beurre Superfin is a high quality pear which does not crop well in all areas, but well worth growing in warm sheltered sites. Better than average fruit quality, medium size, mid-green turning yellow with many light brown russet patches and slightly rough skin. One of the most outstanding flavoured pears with it's pale yellow melting flesh that has delicious scented taste.

History: Raised by M. Goubault at Mille Pieds near Angers, France 1837. First fruited in 1844. Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
